You wanted the new Jak-1b clear sprue? Here it is

Ever since we announced the updated Jak-1b, we’ve been getting the same question: will the new clear sprue be available on its own?

Many of you told us directly: we already have the earlier kits, we’ve got them in the stash, and we don’t want to buy a whole new box just to get the updated canopy parts.

So we decided to make it happen.

Here is 70088-T Jak-1b – clear sprue + masks + Arma Hobby Jig. A limited upgrade set for those who already own our Jak-1b and want to upgrade it without buying another full kit.

What’s inside?

• new clear sprue – build the canopy in open or closed position
• canopy masks – designed for the new parts, making painting quicker and easier
• Arma Hobby Jig – an assembly stand to help position and stabilise the model

Why it makes sense

Earlier editions of the Jak-1b only offered the canopy in the closed position. With this new sprue, you can finally build it open as well – a small change, but one that really improves the final look of the model and gives you more options during the build.

The masks save time and effort – no need to cut everything by hand or try to adjust generic solutions. They are designed to fit the new canopy parts right out of the box.

Arma Hobby Jig is a simple but very practical tool. It helps keep the model properly aligned during assembly, especially when working on the landing gear. It stabilises the model while you work and makes it safer to handle or set aside between stages. It can also be used to protect the finished model when moving it.

The jig has also been available separately as a 3D printed accessory. So if you only need the stand and not the canopy or masks, you can simply choose that option instead.
