New Hobby 2000 arrivals – RAF power and Japanese classics
We’ve just received a new delivery from Hobby 2000, combining two very distinct aviation worlds – the RAF’s early “Car Door” Typhoon and late-war Japanese aircraft.
The two 1/48 Typhoon Mk.IB boxings immediately stand out. The distinctive side-door cockpit gives these aircraft a strong character. Built on the proven Hasegawa tooling and enhanced with Cartograf decals and included masks, they offer a straightforward and enjoyable build.
In 1/72 scale, the Nakajima J1N1-S Gekko Late is particularly eye-catching – a twin-engine night fighter with a compact, purposeful look and striking overall dark green finish.
The Aichi E16A1 Zuiun in both Early and Late versions will appeal to those who enjoy floatplanes and less obvious subjects. Its elegant fuselage lines and central float make it a distinctive addition to any collection.
This is a cohesive, historically styled release – classic schemes, reliable tooling and kits that simply build well.
