Hurricane Mk I is the legendary Allied fighter of the Battle of 1940. First aeroplane that sucesfuly opposed German Luftwaffe air raids. Piloted by Allied fighter pilots, especially Polish Squadrons 302 and 303 Hurricane became dreadful nemesis for Nazi bombers.
Hurricane Mk IIb/c was a workhorse of Allied aviation in early stages of air offensive over France in 1941-42. It was also good night fighter, with number of aerial victories without use of radar. Later in the War Hurricane Mk IIc was backbone of fighter-bomber forces in Mid East and CBI theatres in 1942-43.
