Yak-1b is back – in a new edition
One of your favourite Arma Hobby kits returns. The Yak-1b is back – refreshed and improved where it really matters during the build.
This is a kit many of you already know as a very enjoyable, well-engineered model. The new edition brings practical upgrades that make the building process even smoother and more precise.

What’s new in Yak-1b (70088)?
The key upgrade is the new clear sprue, redesigned for better usability and final appearance.
You get:
- two canopy options – open and closed,
- improved clarity of transparent parts,
- refined fit to the fuselage.

We have also included the Arma Hobby Jig – a simple but highly effective tool that helps you achieve correct geometry, especially when setting the landing gear.
It’s a small addition, but one that significantly improves precision and reduces the need for adjustments during assembly.

Two distinctive marking options
The kit features high-quality Cartograf decals for two historically significant aircraft:
- Polish Yak-1b – No. 4, 1st Squadron, Polish 1st Fighter Aviation Regiment “Warszawa”, flown by W/O Edward Chromy, Zadybie Stare, Summer 1944,
- Soviet Yak-1b – 31st Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment (31 GvIAP), Maj. Boris Nikolayevich Yeremin, 1943 – aircraft modified for aerial reconnaissance duties.
Two different operational contexts, both with strong historical character.
Also available: Ki-43-II Hayabusa (70087)
Alongside the Yak, we are releasing the Nakajima Ki-43-II Hayabusa – a brand-new tooling representing one of the key fighters of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force.
The kit includes two combat marking options from Burma and China, Cartograf decals, painting masks and downloadable 3D detail parts. It follows the same Arma Hobby standard of accuracy, detail and buildability.
