Zestaw kalkomanii modelarskich - czerwone gwiazdy z drugiej wojny światowej w skali 1/72.

Red stars, a symbol of the communist revolution, are also insignia of the USSR combat aircraft and after its fall - the Russian Federation.

How were the red stars painted?

During World War II, they were painted in six positions. On the lower wing surfaces, on the fuselage sides behind the cockpit and on the vertical tail sides. The stars were initially painted without borders. Borders of a few colours were introduced in units to enhance insignia visibility on the camouflage colors. The color of the border and its width differs, depending on the abilities and custom prevailing in the unit: black, yellow, white, white with a red outline.
