Flying Tigers Pilots Figurines 1/72 i 1/48
Flying Tigers Pilots by White Stork Miniatures – Now in 1/72 and 1/48
We are adding AVG “Flying Tigers” pilot figures by White Stork Miniatures to our range, designed especially to complement Curtiss Hawk 81 / P-40B/C models.
Pilots for our new Hawk 81 in 1/72
The F72194 AVG Flying Tigers Pilots 1/72 set was developed as a companion to our new Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 “Flying Tigers” 1/72 (70094). The set contains two AVG pilots in relaxed, natural poses – ideal for displaying alongside a finished aircraft or adding life to a small airfield scene.
The figures were designed by White Stork Miniatures and are produced as high-quality 3D prints. They were developed with our Hawk 81-A2 kit in mind, but are also suitable for Airfix and Academy P-40B/C kits in 1/72 scale.
Pre-orders for our Hawk 81-A2 end this weekend. Until then, the figures are available as an option bundled with the kit. They can also be purchased separately as an individual figure set.

Prefer 1/48?
The same two pilots are also available in the larger scale as F48034 AVG Flying Tigers Pilots 1/48.
For 1/48 scale, we recommend them primarily for Curtiss P-40B/C / Hawk 81 kits from Airfix and HobbyBoss. The larger scale makes the sculpted details of the clothing, faces and equipment particularly visible, making these figures an excellent finishing touch for a model or the focal point of a small diorama.

Two scales – the same story
The American Volunteer Group, commanded by Claire Chennault, entered combat in December 1941. Their Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 fighters, with their distinctive shark-mouth markings, became some of the most recognisable aircraft of the Second World War, while their pilots became legendary as the Flying Tigers.
Recommended kits:
- 1/72: Arma Hobby Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 “Flying Tigers” (70094), Airfix P-40B, Academy P-40B/C
- 1/48: Airfix Curtiss P-40B, HobbyBoss P-40B/C
