F72194 AVG “Flying Tigers” Pilots 1/72 – 3D Printed Figures
A set of two American Volunteer Group (AVG) “Flying Tigers” pilots in 1/72 scale, designed by White Stork Miniatures and produced using high-quality 3D printing technology.
The pilots are depicted in relaxed, natural poses and wearing clothing typical of AVG airmen. One stands in a flight jacket with his hands behind his back, while the other, wearing an officer’s cap, rests one hand on his hip. The figures are ideal for displaying alongside a parked aircraft or as part of a small airfield diorama.
Led by Claire Chennault, the American Volunteer Group was formed from American volunteers to fight Japanese air forces in defence of China. AVG pilots entered combat in December 1941 flying Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 fighters. Their successes over China and Burma, together with the distinctive shark mouths painted on their aircraft, created the enduring legend of the Flying Tigers.
The figures are designed to complement 1/72 scale Curtiss Hawk 81 / P-40B/C kits, particularly those from Arma Hobby, Airfix and Academy.
Set includes:
- 2 AVG pilot figures
- 1/72 scale
- high-quality 3D print
