F48034 AVG “Flying Tigers” Pilots 1/48 – 3D Printed Figures
This set contains two American Volunteer Group (AVG) “Flying Tigers” pilot figures in 1/48 scale. Designed by White Stork Miniatures and produced as precision 3D prints, the figures feature finely rendered clothing, equipment and facial detail.
Both airmen are shown in relaxed, convincing poses suitable for an airfield setting. One wears a flight jacket and stands with his hands behind his back, while the other, wearing an officer’s cap, rests one hand on his hip. In 1/48 scale, the larger size allows the sculpted details to stand out particularly well, making the figures an effective finishing touch for a display model or a small AVG diorama.
The Flying Tigers were American volunteers who served in China under the command of Claire Chennault. They entered combat in late 1941 flying Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 fighters. Their shark-mouthed aircraft soon became one of the most distinctive visual symbols of the air war over China and Burma.
The figures are especially suitable for 1/48 scale Curtiss Hawk 81 / P-40B/C kits from Airfix and HobbyBoss.
Set includes:
- 2 AVG pilot figures
- 1/48 scale
