100 years of aviation history in Dęblin

Statki Powietrzne Szkoły Orląt 1925–2025 is a richly illustrated anniversary album published to mark the centenary of the Polish Air Force Academy in Dęblin, widely known in Poland as the “School of Eaglets” – the historic training centre of Polish military aviation.

The book presents the aircraft, gliders and helicopters used in Dęblin from 1925 to 2025. It covers almost 90 types, from inter-war training aircraft, through post-war Soviet and Polish designs, to modern training aircraft and helicopters.

Product Description

This large-format hardcover album combines archival photographs, contemporary images, colour aircraft profiles, historical commentary and technical data. It is both a visual history of Polish military aviation training and a useful reference work for aviation enthusiasts, historians and scale modellers.

The album follows the evolution of aircraft used by the Dęblin flying school across an entire century: early Polish and foreign training aircraft, wartime and post-war types, jet trainers, transport aircraft, helicopters, gliders and aircraft associated with the Aeroklub Orląt.

For international readers, Dęblin is one of the most important names in Polish aviation history. The “School of Eaglets” trained many generations of Polish pilots, including officers who later served in Polish and Allied air forces. This book offers a compact visual guide to the machines connected with that tradition.

The publication is particularly valuable for modellers thanks to its combination of period photographs and colour profiles showing markings, camouflage schemes and individual aircraft details.
